Visual Journal! - Inspired my crocheting hobby. Also, the bookmark has a red tab from a Monster Energy Drink Can because it is my favorite soda and energy drink. I try to incorporate it as often as I can. I crocheted this and wrapped my visual journal outer covers in it in January 2011.
This is my Altered Book- when a book is completey unuseful otherwise I take it and make it my art book! The back of the book has a Mehendi Indian weddin tattoo carved into the paint. The cover has roses and swirls carved into the paint and a rose stuck to it as well. The rose symbolizes my grandmother, Rosa, who still lives within me in so many ways. I dried the rose and painted it with dark red nailpolish and glitter to harden it so it doesn't crush.
Blue Henna Mehendi- Inspired by my love for cultur, animals (zebra print) and my absolute favorite color blue. Also, I'm addicted to using glitter whenever possible so the entire page has blue glitter glue. Finished in February of 2011.
