About me |
||
Artist Statement I use nature in almost all my artwork because I admire natural beauty in God’s entire wonderful world but I like to tie an unexpected twist in each picture like two moons or winter in a desert. I typically use paint most of the time along with a poster size canvas, or standard computer paper if I’m sketching. My favorite color is blue so naturally the ocean would be one of my more frequently used subjects. I like my art to be relevant to me so you will find many subjects of my art consisting of soldiers caring for a helpless child or a needy family because that will be me one day. To me, my art expresses my aspirations, goals, and dreams. I also have fun mixing different media together like chalk and paint and crayon in one picture just to be unique.

The American and Mexican flag represent my heritage and half of my face was inspired by sugar skulls that are made for the Dia De Los Muertos holiday. I am just like my grandma "Rosa Mari" says my family so I included her name in my self portrait. |
